The Indonesian Gymnastics Federation (FGI) concluded The 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2025 at Indonesia Arena, Jakarta, with resounding success. FGI President Ita Yuliati expressed her gratitude for the smooth and safe execution of the championship, which received wide appreciation from athletes, officials, and international delegates.

Alhamdulillah, the closing ceremony went smoothly and the entire event was well-executed. Minor issues were manageable. Many parties shared their compliments for the professionalism and the strong sense of teamwork throughout the event,” said Ita Yuliati during the closing ceremony on Saturday (October 25).

According to Ita, this achievement was the result of the collective hard work of all stakeholders — including the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Minister Erick Thohir, the Jakarta Provincial Government, NOC Indonesia, KONI, INASPRO, and the Jakarta Artistic Gymnastics Organizing Committee (JAGOC), as well as hundreds of dedicated volunteers who played a crucial role in ensuring the event’s success.

She also extended her appreciation to the event sponsors, including Fujitsu, Eurovision Sport, CorePay, GBK, Taishan, Alita, DRX, Mills, Ozone, Turn, Cannice, ZTE, Sarinah, Apsari Artisan, Bali Fiber, Telkom, BJB, NEC, Pegadaian, Taspen, Canon, Poza Sport Academy, Rockstar Academy, as well as host broadcaster iMSPORT and official media partner MNC Group, whose support contributed greatly to the smooth execution of the event.

Ita added that the Indonesian organizing committee received overwhelming praise from participating countries for their hospitality and professionalism.

“Feedback from many nations has been extremely positive. They praised Indonesia’s hospitality, which they considered exceptional. This is a proud moment for us — our first time hosting an event of this magnitude, and it was a success,” Ita said.

The success of The 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships marks a new chapter in the history of Indonesian gymnastics, proving that the nation is capable of hosting world-class sporting events to international standards.

“This is not the end, but the beginning of a long journey toward global excellence,” she affirmed.

A Legacy of Gymnastics Equipment

Beyond setting a new milestone, the championship also leaves behind a tangible legacy in the form of gymnastics equipment that will be used to support the training of Indonesian athletes.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) provided six full sets of apparatus for the Jakarta Gymnastics 2025 competition. After the event, these sets were officially handed over to the Indonesian Gymnastics Federation (FGI).

Three sets, Ita explained, will be placed at the Cibubur Youth Elite Sport Center (CYESC) — a new national sports training complex currently under construction in East Jakarta. The remaining sets will be loaned to regional federations (Pengprov) that have long-term athlete development programs aimed at Olympic preparation.

This initiative reflects the event’s official motto, Move to Inspire, encouraging athletes across Indonesia to pursue excellence and inspire future generations.

“With the conclusion of this championship, we are now stepping into the next stage — athlete development. Even though not every province receives a full set of equipment, they will have the spirit, athletes, and new tools to continue improving,” Ita said.
